Tour the mine with a long visit

The descent in the cage will start along 386.25 m., until reaching the 8th level. From the boarding point, we will visit the Chimenea La Jota to go down to the 9th level.

When boarding the 9th level, the systems and elements of communication used with the outside will be explained (genephone, telephone, signalling panel, etc.), as well as the existing emergency equipment (stretcher, first aid kit, etc.), traction elements (winch) and the rail yard, as well as the electrical substation, the vacuum return circuit, and the ventilation control systems with doors and the dumping of materials through the earth raise.

After the above, the walk will begin to the areas where the coal has been mined. Along approximately two kilometres of galleries, the visitors will move northwards, where different water, air, communication, control, electricity and ventilation installations used in the mine may be observed; as well as the layout of the rail train, the mining support methods and the automatic system for opening the ventilation doors.

Once the coal mining area is reached, a vertical stope (workshop) with a shearer will be visited, as well as the advance of a guide gallery in the area of La Lozana. Subsequently, and at a short distance, the a visit will go to a sublevel (soutirage) stope descending through its inclined plane.

At the end of that inclined plane, the visit reach the tenth floor of the mine. There, the visitor will see a coal loading hopper and an inclined plane that slopes down to the sub-tenth level completely flooded.

The route is one of the most unique experiences of tourism in Asturias!

If you are a group of 10 or more people, a 10% discount will be applied.
